Projects - Routine In-Plant Solidification

Many environmental contractors use super absorbent polymers to solidify liquid wastes collected as part of pit and tank cleanings, lagoon maintenance, and general facility contracting.

Most facilities have converted their waste solidification processes to super absorbent polymers as a means to save money by reducing waste volumes and, consequently, disposal costs. While SAP is not entirely appropriate for some waste streams, it has been found to be effective in most instances. SAP is an effective, efficient and cost effective replacement for saw dust, lime kiln dust, and Portland cement.

Benefits

  • Rapid Absorption & Solidification
  • Minimal Volume Increase
  • Generates Less Dust
  • Cleaner
  • Quicker
  • Less Expensive

Routine in-plant solidification using ZapZorb super absorbent polymer. Backhoe mixing SAP with industrial waste to solidify prior to disposal.

Typical in-plant solidification of a wide range of non-hazardous waste. ZapZorb super absorbent polymer can significantly reduce high volume increases and disposal costs associated with traditional solidifiers such as saw dust, lime kiln dust and/or Portland cement.
