ZapLoc® - Super Absorbent Polymer, Medical Waste Solidifier

ZapLoc is a new product specifically formulated to meet the unique challenges of solidifying medical waste using a super absorbent polymer blend. Uniquely designed and packaged for operating room (OR) suction canisters, ZapLoc can also be used directly on fluid spills within a hospital, clinic or medical office.

Disposal

Offsite treatment and disposal is expensive. The US Department of Transportation requires that all liquid wastes be solidified prior to disposal. Using ZapLoc ensures that your liquid waste will be handled in accordance DOT regulations (49 CFR 171 Final Rule for Hazardous Materials: Revision to Standards for Infectious Substances).

New regulations prohibit the disposal of suction liners unless the contents have been solidified prior to disposal.
